The 2007 Oktoberfest
medallion hunt begins
Monday, September 17.
There will be 10 clues.
Each day, a clue will be
printed in the La Crosse
Tribune and be made
available for broadcast
on local radio and TV
stations at 5 a.m. Clues
can also be viewed each
day after 6 a.m. on the
Oktoberfest website: www.oktoberfestusa.com.
Clues will run until the
medallion is found, or
until Wednesday,
September 26.
The rules are similar to
previous years. The
medallion:
is always located within
the La Crosse city
limits
is never buried in the
ground
is on public property
is accessible 24 hours a
day, but posted hours
should be observed
fits in the palm of a
hand
may be camouflaged
The person finding the
medallion should call
the phone number on the
back of the medallion.
The finder must wear an
Oktoberfest button to
collect the entire prize
package, which includes
$500 cash, several gift
certificates and a
miniature replica
medallion, compliments
of Satory Arts. The hunt
is sponsored by Wipfli,
LLP. Gift certificates
have been donated by:
Downtown Mainstreet and
Radisson Hotel.
